Things are getting a little wild!

Okay, okay—I know I promised to catch up on all my blogging and get back on schedule the last time I posted, but things are still pretty crazy around the Bergmann household as we get ready for school to start up again. EEK! So I've been trying to juggle all my usual work/hobby business in between all the school orientation stuff, supplies and clothes shopping, class pictures, etc. over the past few weeks. But the end is in sight, as school officially begins for us the day after Labor day weekend—and not a moment too soon!! LOL

This week, I've been working on making more of my resin-backed glass tile pendants and also experimenting with making animal print beads. Yesterday, I spent at least eight hours at the torch and made over 40 beads (not including the sad rejects that ended up taking a water bath. ;-D). Here's a sampling of some of the beads I made in that one session alone:

I especially love my tiger, snow leopard and zebra beads—but I think I still have some tweaking to do on the leopard/jaguar and giraffe prints (Ashley thought those were cow beads?!? LOL). I don't know why I ended up making so many—I think I was having way too much fun playing and honing my techniques. I sure hope there's a good market of buyers looking for animal print beads?!

And speaking of "market," tomorrow I'll be at our local Maple Valley Farmer's Market and am busy getting things labeled and packed away for the morning. Here's a photo of me the last time I was there, but please don't pay attention to my slightly disheveled appearance. That day was the windiest weather anyone could remember us having and I ended up taking down the white tent "wall" behind me because the entire tent kept threatening to sail away whenever a big gust blew in.

And here's some of my newest tile pendants I'll be offering, as soon as I add some pretty ribbon and leather necklaces to them:

So if you're in the area and feel like shopping for some great glass beads and jewelry—you know where to find me! *Ü*
